ASSOCIATE APPLIED SCIENCE
-SPECIALIZING IN EDUCATION

The Associate Degree program in Applied Science prepares graduates to work in diverse roles in the Education Industry. This program provides students with the skills and framework necessary to work with children from infancy to secondary school and in developmental settings. Students may work in faith-based organizations and childcare centers. Students who enroll in the online associate in applied science with a specialization/major in education learn the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in a range of growing entry-level professions. Depending on the specific career goals, the student may be required to complete a capstone project or get hands-on training in an education setting. By pursuing our A.A. degree in education, you can gain the tools you need to help raise up a new generation of young people. Students may be eligible to apply up to 60 credits from the Associate Degree program to the Bachelor of Applied Science Program. Full-time students can complete the program in 2 years.


Educational Objectives:

The curriculum follows a path aligned to NAEYC standards and the CDA Credential.

Entrance Requirements: 
Complete the application/enrollment agreement online, via fax, or by mail, and provide proof of high school graduation/GED via fax, mail, or online portal.

Graduation Requirement: A student must meet the following requirements to qualify for graduation from any program of study:

• Successfully complete all courses in the program of study with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher. • Meet or exceed the minimum standards of satisfactory academic progress (SAP); • Satisfy all programmatic requirements; and • Satisfy all financial obligations to the College
