Whether you've experienced recovery from addiction, mental illness, or co-occurring substance and mental disorders becoming a Peer Support Specialist may be a great option for you. You will gain an understanding of the roles of Peer Specialists and Peer Supporters relative to advocacy, addressing stigma and discrimination, interpersonal communication, an overview of mental health and substance use disorders, cultural competence, ethical responsibilities and legal issues, including HIPAA
You will learn career development stages, planning fundamentals, and how to work with diverse audiences. In the Certified Life Coach course, you will learn the Core Competencies of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and ICF-recognized protocols to build a distinctive coaching style. This course also incorporates the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches (IAPRC) Code of Ethics to enhance individuals' lives impacted by addiction.

Upon completion of the course's final exam, you will receive the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) certification. The Doctor of Education-Pastoral Care and Counseling program is for those who would like to practice Christian Counseling in pastoral ministry and parachurch organizations such as Christian schools or professional counseling services in a ministry setting or private practice as a Christian Counselor. This program does not qualify a person to sit for state licensure or board exams.
All (Arts or Science Degrees-AA, AS, BA, BS, MA, MS) titles will include a religious modifier on the title line of the degree, on the transcript, and whenever the title of the degree appears in official school documents or publications.
